Score me on Threadless!

Be Like You...? - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
Here's my first submission to Threadless.com. I want to eventually set up my own studio and make my own screenprinted stuff, so I'd thought I'd see "what people like." Please rate me high!! It would be awesome if it makes it to the production line. :)

Coconut Kickball

I'm currently working on flash character and game interface illustrations. The beta for the project was approved and the team has the approval to add a few more levels to the online game. Check back for more updates on the project!

Drum Set Illustration

Designing a tattoo was much more difficult than I thought it would be. Even now, I think my art looks too "clean" to be a tattoo, but I'm not sure how to "roughen" it up. Maybe I should redo it with more of a pen-and ink look... I don't think it looks "unique" enough yet. I'll post updates as the project continues to transform.

I liked the way this looks, but the swirls are a bit too much for tattooing purposes:

In short, I think I'm thinking like too much of a graphic designer and not enough like a tattoo artist!

eTxtBook

The eTxtBook brand is venture that is in the process of being formed into an actual company by one of my enthusiastic business classmates. While I don't want to give away any trade secrets by revealing the details, this will be the brand identity of the next-generation electronic textbook reader.

Initially called TxtBook, the brand was renamed to eTxtBook due to the fact that "TxtBook" was the registered name of a children's learning toy. Below are my sketches from the initial logo design before I amended it to read "eTxtBook."

Play-With Project

"You should sell these!!" is what I often hear regarding these made-for-friends projects. But being a business student, there is so much involved with starting a business, building the capital to run a business, finding the time to be able to run the business, marketing the concept, etc. I don't think I'm amped enough to start a magnet-making business. Maybe later it can be a viable idea, but right now I'm not ready to take it live.

On a side note, the "Play-With-Your Friends Dolls" were initially "Play-With-Yourself" Dolls—aptly named so because I made each doll for the person it represented. However, due to the highly suggestive (yet amusing) title, I am forced to reconsider and settle with "Play-With-Your-Friends," which can be more readily marketed to PG audiences without concern. I say PG instead of G because I include a set of beer bottles with the dolls, so I want to warn all parents out there that despite the innocent appearance of the figures, the target audience is college-level students, not kids.
